Our Parish

Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, South Woodham Ferrers
Holy Trinity Catholic Parish serves the Catholic community of South Woodham Ferrers and forms part of the Parish of English Martyrs, Danbury and Holy Trinity, South Woodham Ferrers within the Diocese of Brentwood. The parish is led by Fr Angelus Paul Houle and is committed to proclaiming the Gospel, celebrating the sacraments, and supporting parishioners in their journey of faith.

A distinctive feature of Holy Trinity is that the church building, dedicated in 1982, is jointly owned and shared by the Catholic Church, the Church of England, and the Methodist Church. This ecumenical partnership reflects a spirit of Christian unity and cooperation, enabling the three denominations to worship and serve the local community together while maintaining their own traditions and identity.

The parish offers regular Masses, opportunities for prayer and reconciliation, and encourages parishioners to grow in faith through worship, service, and community life. Inspired by the mission of the Church, Holy Trinity seeks to help people encounter Christ, deepen their relationship with God, and live out the values of the Gospel in their daily lives.

Holy Trinity is a welcoming and vibrant Catholic community where people of all ages are invited to participate in the sacramental life of the Church, support one another, and contribute to the mission of building God's Kingdom through faith, hope and charity.

Parish Mission Statement

"We who share this building seek, through the inspiration of God's Spirit, to draw nearer to Him and to one another in this community.
